Some more teasers

This week was great. I already highlighted the main attraction...girl scout cookies! Who doesn't love 'em. I do, and boy am I glad that they only come once a year. Yes I did eat a whole box of Tagalongs Friday afternoon. I even missed dinner because I was so full. And yes, boy did I regret it on Saturday morning when I had to run 5 miles. I didn't feel bad on my run, I was, however, a tad bit disgusted when the calories I burnt equaled about 4 of the 15 cookies I ate. That is so unfair...I totally should have burnt more calories than that, wouldn't you think???

Anyhoo, the New Year's goals are going strong. I am proud to admit that I have only had ONE, yes Collie, just one, candy bar, since I got back from Utah. Kyle got me a little box of Peeps (another too good to pass up favorite treat of mine) for Valentine's but other than that I have done pretty well...at least on the whole processed sugar thing. GS cookies don't count, and if you refute that I'll delete your comment. The only area I am really lacking is the piano...I will try harder for you though Krith.

McKay and her friends Berkeley and Orson got to enjoy some nice sunshine this week when it was 74 degrees (a Des Moines record!). They played in the playhouse and the swing set while Heidi and I sat on the deck thinking of warm days to come..and stay! I even got sun burnt. But, beggars can't be choosy. Three days later it is 40 degrees with rain.

The boys had their conferences this week and are doing very well. It is so great to hear about what they are learning. I have to say that when we arrived I was a little upset because Kyle wasn't there yet. (I set them up at 7:20 and 7:40 p.m. because I was SURE he wouldn't be late). Well, 7:20 comes around and we are starting Grants meeting with his teacher. Kyle walked in about 5 or 10 minutes after we started. I was going to mention something about his tardiness when we got home, but when I went to my car I found these. So, I couldn't really be mad anymore with this as an excuse, now could I?

We have another busy week. Grants music concert is Monday, I teach my cooking class, "Meatless Meals" on Tuesday, Wednesday is Scouts, Thursday is a Team Parent meeting for baseball and Friday is Grant's birthday! We are looking forward to a nice relaxing Spring Break the next week....wait a minute, I just need to get through this week. And let me tell you, it is starting off with a bang. Taylor is getting sick right now. Great, we had friends over for dinner. G0 stinking figure.

  1. Loved your girl scout poem! And nice flowers! I hope you can avoid a whole house of sick kids. We just went through the stomach flu here. Luckily, I was the only one to not get it. I am really enjoying your blog and keeping up with you activities, Ginnie!
