Details...

We returned from a trip to Wyoming to see family on Sunday. The kids had a great time and were officially worn out when we got home. The struggle now is to get a routine down in two days since school starts on Wednesday!

The first thing the kids did after getting out of the car was to run off some seriously unused energy! I can tell you that the majority of their time was spent outdoors...McKay loved the little pool and had she not required a nap she could have stayed in it all day; Taylor got his first gun lesson with his new BB Gun and is already a pretty good shot (Somehow I don't think we'll by saying "You'll shoot yer eye kid!); Grant learned to drive a tractor and built quite the little town; we had a bonfire to roast or burn (for those who really know how to eat them) marshmallows; the kids learned how to fish from Grandpa; the kids were sworn in as official Deputies in Deadwood, South Dakota; they visited Mt. Rushmore; we went down the Rushmore Slide.

Really, the most enjoyable part was spending time with family. The kids loves to see their cousins and Grandparents. With the exception of the long, long, long drive it would be nice to see everyone more...I swear every time that I will never drive again, we'll see what happens the next time we plan a trip home.

Hope everyone enjoyed their summer...School starts tomorrow...YESSSS!

  1. YEA!!! More friends! I'm glad you found me, everytime I start to browse lists for friends something comes up and I totally forget what I was doing when I find another break - so glad you found me. I can't believe how big Mckay is! Wow - It sounds like you're having as much fun adjusting to life after vacation as we are. So glad I can read about your life now!
