What's Cooking?

Thai Beef and Bok Choy

One large onion, halved and sliced
One clove garlic, mined
One jalapeño, seeded and diced
4 heads baby bok choy, sliced
1/2 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. sherry
1 tbsp. fish sauce
Sriracha to taste
2 tsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. sesame oil
1 pound steak, sliced thinly
4 ounces rice noodles, cooked
1/2 c. thai basil, chiffonade
Sesame seeds


Heat large sauté pan with 2 tbsp. olive oil over medium high heat.  Add onions and cook, stirring often, until edges start to brown.  Add jalapeños and garlic, cooking until fragrant.




Add boky choy and cook until crisp tender.  Remove from pan.



Mix together fish sauce, sriracha, sherry, soy sauce, and corn starch.  Set aside.


Add sesame oil to pan on high heat.  Add steak, cooking and stirring quickly.


Add sauce and cook until is starts to thicken, about 3-5 minutes.


Add rice noodles.


And vegetables, including basil.


Finish with sesame seeds.  Enjoy!
