To be in shape or not to be in shape

I'm tired.  Maybe it is just the fact that I am pregnant...and 36....and have McKay at home...and am the Primary President....and the District PTO President...and the CEO of the Coleman Family.  But I'm tired.

I'll tell you what, whoever said that pregnancy gets easier with the more kids you have was full of it.  This one has been the most difficult.  I still have bouts of nausea, now combined with never ending heart burn.  I can't sleep at night because I can't get comfortable (but that could have to do with the fact that I am the size of a heifer already...more on THAT in a minute.)  If I do fall asleep I wake up a couple of hours later because of that wonderful bladder problem that every pregnant woman has.  I am cold all of the time.  I can't eat without feeling uncomfortable.  And I have constant pains from ligaments stretching.  Light at the end of the tunnel?  Not yet.
Here is my heifer theory.  I think I am being punished for being in shape.  Last year I set a goal of running a marathon.  I was working hard, not only running, but with pilates and weight lifting days as well.  I was in pretty dang good shape...then whammo, pregnant.  I had to back off for a bit, but I am back to running and pilates.  It makes me even more tired.  I don't get it.  Is this my punishment for trying to stay healthy?  I thought I might even be able keep my weight gain within 30 pounds...not going to happen.  If you have seen my belly you would understand why.  Not to mention the fact that I have always had babies that are 8 pounds and above.  I am resigned to the fact that I WILL gain 50 pounds with each pregnancy, but thus far I have always gotten back to my pre-pregnancy weight.  A few shifts in body structure, yes, but the weight has never been too much of a problem. Curse you genes.  Nevertheless, I know that at the end of it all will be a wonderful blessing.

The last two weeks have been busy, thus very few pictures and news.  Our good friend Sharisse came and visited us during her few days home over Christmas break.  McKay loves her, as you can tell.  Risse even got to go to my ultrasound and was the first to know that we were having a boy!  Glad you were here, send some Hawaii weather this way!

The boys are FINALLY back in school.  Man, with Christmas break, then two days of school and 5 days off due to snow days and teacher in service I think I was awfully close to a mental breakdown.  It was too cold to send them out, and I thought it might be a bad idea to beat them, so I suffered.

We had our first Primary Activity today, and despite the work that goes into them, they are so wonderful for the kids.  We had some great activities today, and spent time outdoors just letting them play in the snow and be kids!  They completed their activity with donuts and hot chocolate.  Nothing like a little sugar to send them on their way home!

I am getting things ready for our Baptismal Preview tomorrow night, we have Ward Conference tomorrow and then I already need to start working on our Quarterly Teaching Training.  Down time?  What's that?

PTO is back in full swing with meetings next week and the following.  The Winter Carnival for our school is coming up, as are Parent Conferences.  Boy, the fun just keeps coming!

Speaking of fun...at my next OB I have the wonderful privilege of downing a nice bottle of glucose.  They didn't even have lemon-lime, which really is the most tolerable of the three.  Can't wait!

Happy Week to you all!
